Hit the Books - It's Paper Cubed!

It's the first of the month and that means it's time for another challenge at Paper Cubed!

This month is a "Bookish" challenge...we're making bookmarks!  Let's see how creative you can get with yours.  Make them long, make them short, make them round (?)...I bet someone can!  Fit them on a corner, beribbon them, button and bow them.

Our grandchildren are heading back to school, so mine are kid themed. (You can click on the photo to see close up.) I love popping little things in the mail for them and these are just right.

You've got a whole month to play and then link up your creation on the Paper Cubed blog.  This month's prize is a Martha Stewart punch.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team creations:

You can find the tutorial for the bookmark (so easy!) here on SplitcoastStampers.

Supplies:

Paper - SU Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, Pretty in Pink, K & Co. Hopscotch, SU retired DP
Ink - Memorex black, Copic markers, SU marker
Accessories - Sewing machine, ribbon

  4. Charlene, both of these bookmarks are so cute!!! I know your grand babies will love them. I remember you telling us that your granddaughter has a kitten, so I am sure she will love that ever so awesome colored little cutie will make her day. Your grandson will also love this "cool" dog bookmark...you are such an amazing Nana :D. Now I'll have to go and make some. My oldest goes through bookmarks like no other...maybe she would take more care of one of those. ;D. Have a fabulous day my friend!! Hugs, Sabrina

  9. Love these Charlene! I like the way you mounted the image so it sticks out over the edge of the page when the book is closed. These images are so cute!

  10. Adorable bookmarks, Charlene! Your mini images are beautifully colored and the stitching adds such great texture without fear of damaging pages. Such a perfect gift idea, especially in back-to-school season!!
