May Arts/Xyron/Little Yellow Bicycle Blog Hop

It's time for another blog hop with May Arts Ribbon, Xyron and Little Yellow Bicycle...and, of course,...there are prizes!!...info at end of post.  ;-)

I got to play with the fun papers and embellishments from the LYB "Poppy" line.   This cool line has lots of bright, happy colors that are perfect for summer crafting and scrapping.

I had a little wooden box that I picked up at Michael's for $1 a while ago.  I gave it a coat of Martha Stewart Satin Acrylic Paint.  I traced the box onto my paper, cut it out then attached it with Xyron Double Sided Tape.  That stuff really sticks!  Nice smooth application, no bumps or lumps or loose edges.  Make sure you cut each separately as the sides may not be even.  (ask me how I know that!)

From there it was all fun!  May Arts Wired Chevron Ribbon makes a fun spiral pinwheel type bow on the handle topped with a cork stick pin from LYB.  A white doily, is topped with a tag from LYB Journaling Cards that I stitched on my sewing machine.    May Arts 1/2"  Woven Burlap Ribbon, a bit of Hero Arts Orange Soda ink sponged on the edges and stickers from LYB finish the box.

Inside, I created 3 cute cards without a rubber stamp or ink anywhere in sight.  I love May Arts new Faux Canvas Ribbons!  This bright orange makes me happy.  I ran the LYB bird sticker through my Xyron Create a Sticker to give it some extra holding power because I placed over the end of the stick pin.

Ribbon, cork and shimmery sticker love!

This super easy card features one of the LYB Wood Tags and May Arts Burlap String...easy peasy!

I adore my  May Arts Leaves but sometimes adding them to a card can be a challenge when I don't want any bulk.  Now that's no problem!!  Just run the ribbon through your Xyron machine for easy application.

I think this little set will make a nice little gift for someone.
