Foodie Friday - French Breakfast Puffs & Candy!

My apologies for not posting this month's Blog Candy as promised yesterday.  I got new heavier wires on my braces and my mouth hurts so badly even my head hurts.  A sip of water brought tears to my eyes.  I don't know how the little kids do it!

I did bake these lovely treats on Wednesday for an upcoming May Arts Blog Hop.  Wait til you see what I did with them!  hee,hee...

I adapted the recipe from The Pioneer Woman a couple of years ago and believe me when I tell you they're worth every single calorie!!  I've got the recipe here so you can print it out and make some for yourself...and the rest of your family but only if you can't hide them fast enough!

Now for this month's Follower Blog Candy...I've got a $10 gift certificate for

Just leave me a comment on this post and let me know how you're following!

Thanks much..now get those muffins in the oven!!

Okay, Charlene....you got me this morning, lol! I have been taking a break from blogging but I do check on my favs from time to time and this morning yours is tops on my list!!! I have printed out the recipe and will give it a try soon...can't wait to get that buttery, sugary goodness on my tongue, lol! I love Pioneer Woman recipes...I follow her show on TV as well. Hope your mouth feels better soon....I can relate to what you are going through. I did it in my mid 30's and it is painful!!!

I have made these too, double yum. I think I make every Pioneer Woman recipe. I bet that milkshake is going to help the braces tonight.

First off, yup I had braces as an adult too and can totally relate :-)
Ok I am ready to make those sinfully wicked muffins, the in suctions slightly escape me though. I am a step by step person and don't see when to add the eggs or crisco. can you review the recipe and let me know if Im missing something?
Ok if not I understand. Awesome blog ma'am thank you for opportunity to get recipes, inspiration and blog candy!

I did the braces thing 3 years ago. When it's all over and done it's worth the pain. Hang in there!!

Charlene, you are a bad girl for posting this naughty recipe...but they look yummy and will be trying them this weekend. Thanks for the try at some candy...i do have a sweet tooth and love it so...sorry about your mouth pain...both of my kids had braces and could only manage pudding, or jello, or applesauce when they had adjustments....but wont the beautiful, healthy smile at the end be worth it? take care, i subcribe with google reader so get your blogs whenever you post them.
