May Arts Glue Arts Giveaway! and What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday

Did you know that May Arts has paired up with Glue Arts this week to bring you an awesome Giveaway?
Hop on over to the May Arts blog to find out how to win and to see some awesome inspiration projects from the Design Team.    There is more than one giveaway post so be sure to scroll down to see them all.

My friend, Sue, from Sue's Stamping Stuff, challenged me to put the whole dirty truth about my studio out there for "What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday" so here goes...this photo was taken at night so the light is awful.

The cabinets are from Ikea...the one on the left is my cutting/scoring/embossing unit...all glass front drawers...I love it!!  That's the one that took multiple trips to Ikea (two hours away) to get decent wood parts to complete.  These are actually free standing kitchen units but are perfect work surfaces with tons of storage.  The stainless table in the center was actually a counter height unit that DH cut down to table height...sometimes I wish I hadn't asked him to do that but it comes in handy if someone comes over to stamp.  Right now, it's loaded with DT paper and ribbon!

Ok, here I go, deep breath, inhale, exhale

Yikes!  I haven't had a chance to clean up after the marathon work session for the art show.  Several May Arts Ribbon projects are in process.  You'll have to check out the MA blog to see what they are.  Wicked, I know.  Someday...when the room is cleaner, I'll take a photo of the whole thing....sigh...I can dream.

Thanks for stopping in...I appreciate you!  I'm trying to catch up on your blogs!

I've always thought that I'd pick up Ikea kitchen pieces for my next crafting space {right now I use a hallway..ugh} so I love seeing your space! Thanks for sharing!

this is a mess? This looks like business as usual around my house. I LOVE how large your space is and how much work surface you have, once I get going I'm lucky to have enough space for the project I'm working on. And you could dance on that floor.

Your studio space is wonderful. I'm going to use kitchen cabinets in my studio too, when it's finished. Thanks for sharing! #102

Welcome to WOYWW - a random dip into the list of links will prove that your desk(s) aren't as horribly untidy as you think. Mine is a prime example!! I'm guessing you mostly stand as you work - otherwise you and I need to chat about knee space in front of that lovely drawer unit and the need for a cushion on that stool!!

Oh you are a brave lady!! Welcome by the way! Love the idea of the free standing kitchen units, I (and many other crafters too) have Ikea Expedit units, but your look great, and not too untidy either!

Charlene, love your workstation!! Don't feel bad about the mess, most of us have scrap all over the place!! The free-standing units from Ikea are awesome...now I have an idea of what I can use for my die-cut machines!

That's a really attractive crafting space and looks really inviting. It is far tidier than mine even though you think it's a mess... Nah!!
Thanks for a late snoop,

It's bad enough that I am running nearly a week late, then I have been plagued with that pesky 503 error all night. Just wanted to drop in and welcome you to WOYWW. You will love it here. I am in total awe of your studio and all the lovely storage pieces you have.
