Clean and Simple, Make it Monday, Make it Sparkle!

I'm still here for those of you still wondering...I've been swamped with work and getting the house decorated, a party or two, bouts with carpal tunnel and the "have to's" of life so my stamping has been pretty non-existent.

I had a few precious bits of time last night so put together this card for 3 challenges.  The sketch is for the SCS Clean & Simple challenge (CAS199)The technique is for the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday  Challenge #94 to use Glitter Detail and just for fun, I'm entering this in the Sparkle Challenge on CASology #22 - Sparkle

All stamps, dies and papers are Papertrey Ink...and of course, no card is complete without a bit of May Arts ribbon so I made a slit in the fold and tied on som beautiful May Arts Red/white Baker's Twine.  (412-14)

Details:
Card size - 5x5"
Cardstock/DP - Papertrey Ink
Stamps - PTI Made of Snow
Dies - Made of Snow Mini die, In the Meadow; Spellbinders Square die
Other - Quickie Glue Pen; Art Institute Angel Dust glitter

Be sure to stay tuned tomorrow and Saturday.  Two fun days of surprises are on the way!  The May Arts Ribbonistas have a treat for you and the Spitcoast Stampers Clean and Simple Design Team members, some past and some present are throwing a BIG party...you're invited, of course!!

And...for those of you fatithful followers who've stuck around while I've been gone, it's the season of gift giving and I've got a gift for some lucky follower.

There are stamps sets from Hero Arts with Sizzix dies; Making Memories, Fiskars, Imaginese, and chipboard dies from Tim Holtz.

All you have to do is leave me a comment on THIS post and tell me what your favorite Christmas memory is.  I'll draw a winner on December 15th, which just happens to be the shared birthdays of my sister-in-law and my husband's mother.  His mother will be 100 years old!!

Thanks so much for hanging in there.  I promise to be more visible.

My favourite Christmas memory is of coming down the ataircase and there it was...my very own cowgirl outfit from Santa under the tree. It even had a holster and pearl trimmed revolver! (this was defo b4 the days of not giving kids guns...teehee)

I have a snapshot of me sitting on the sofa in my Dale Evans skirt, vest, hat and holster!!! teehee

Yep, I was a fan of the Roy Rodgers show!

I had a religious upbringing and I wish I could tell you that it was some wonder over the real reason of Christmas...but sadly that outfit was so exciting that I have never forgotten the feeling!

My favorite Christmas memory is when my husband came home four days before Christmas to inform me that after a month long search, he had finally found a black kitten. This was the only thing I truly wanted. We adopted this bundle of joy on Dec. 23. Our first year away from our families was spent with this little black fur ball. He quickly became a family member and made the next 17 Christmases very special! :)

Most favorite childhood Christmas memory was when I received my first "real" bicycle. It was baby blue with racing handlebars. What a morning that was.....I must have been outside by 8:00am riding around the neighborhood. Thanks for the chance to win!

Great card and glad to have you back! My favorite Christmas memory was when my grandfather was still alive and we would get together with my dad's side of the family and him and his brothers would make films of them throwing themselves away with the wrapping. It was hilarious to watch.

I LOVE your snowman card! He is adorable.

My favorite Christmas memory is probably the year my sisters and I had chicken pox. Our tradition growing up was every Christmas Eve we would go visit my aunt and uncle's house, then our grandparents, and then head home. Of course while we were gone, Santa came! This particular year we had chicken pox we obviously couldn't go visit the relatives, so we were home that night. Suddenly there was a bang on our living room door (which lead to the hallway of the duplex we lived in) and when we opened the door, a pile of presents were there from Santa. A few minutes later, Grandpa and Grandma happen to stop by for a visit! ; )

One of my favorite Christmas Memories is when my brother and I got 10 speed bikes after being told repeatedly there was no way, they were too expensive, your other bikes are prefectly fine LOL . I think my Dad must have had to work Christmas Day that year. On Christmas Eve after dinner my Brother and I had to go to my room and wait until we were told to come out.

After a little bit, my Dad came down the hall and said we could come out, but that we had to walk down the hallway backwards. LOL The hallway opened into the living room.

When we got about 1/2 across the living room, we were told to turn around and there were TWO SCHWINN 10 SPEED BIKES !!!! yellow for me as it was my favorite color at the time, and green for my brother !!!!!

We were shocked. THey had been hiding at the across the street neighbors house. Which is why we had to go to my room. My brothers room had a window that looked out on the driveway.

My favorite Christmas memory growing up is Christmas Eve because my mom who's Mexican would always make homemade Mexican foods like tamales, enchiladas, fresh tortillas and sopapillas because that's what her family would do. Then my brother and I were allowed to open 1 present.
Love your blog. Super cute snowman card!

Darling card! I love the color combo!
My favorite Christmas memory was visiting my grandparents in Santa Barbara when I was a kid. Santa came in person and visited us at their house, which was quite a thrill!

Charlene, my favorite Christmas memory was when my kids were 3 and 4 and we had a boarder who lived on the lower level of our house in Mission. We phoned him and he pretended to be Santa and the look on the kids face was so amazing...they asked for bikes and on Christmas day, when the bikes were there with some other great presents they we just so excited and it was great.
My other favorite is everytime I cook a turkey Christmas dinner and have friends and family it makes the day so special and worth all the time and work to decorate the house, prepare the food and all the other things that go along with it.
Love your card for this challenge and a chance to win some loot is too amazing....thanks, Abby

My favorite Christmas memory is just having all the cousins gather around while my grandmother handed out gifts. Families are so scattered any more that doesn't happen any more. We always had reunions every summer and this gathering every Christmas. I miss those.
Thanks for a chance at some candy - and Happy Holidays to you and yours!
