May Arts New Release Blog Hop - Sweet Little Baby

Today is day 1 of the May Arts Spring/Summer New Release Blog Hop!  There are so many gorgeous new ribbons...and you'll want to own them all!

I got to play with the new Adhesive gingham hearts.  They are just soooo adorable and the acrylic backing sticks to everything from clothing to metal.

I have a friend with a brand new baby girl so all things sweet and pink were my inspiration
.

First up is this sweet little onsie & sock set.

I sewed May Arts 3/8" Crochet Trim to the neckline then a row of the sweet new Adhesive Mini Gingham Hearts.Because these will washed frequently, I tacked the hearts to the neckline and socks with a needle and thread and a tiny running stitch in the center of the hearts.

And just because I couldn't resist, I added May Arts new Adhesive Rosettes to the backside.

How adorable is that!!?

The sweet little cards were created on my Gazelle with a cut file from The Cutting Cafe.

I added the same crochet trim to the arms and leg openings with double sided tape, then it was just peel and stick those adorable adhesive hearts and done!

Want to win some of this adorable ribbon or any of the other new releases?

Valentine Card Banner

It's time for another fabulous May Arts Blog Hop!  I'm rounding out the two days of hopping inspiration with a fun way to create a banner AND use up your ribbon scraps as well.  I was inspired by a banner I saw on Pinterest for $25.  I knew I had a deck of cards and lots of scrap ribbon so I knew I could make this pretty banner for nothing by recycling my cards and scraps.

Just measure the width of your doorway or mantle then cut ribbon to span the width plus enough for streamers or bows, if desired.  Punch holes in your cards, thread onto the ribbon, spacing evenly. Now just tie on your scraps...any size or style works.  If you prefer pink or black...go for it!

Bonus!  Easy enough for the kids too.

Just check out all of these Valentine ribbons

Hang your banner and enjoy!  It's like instant decorating!

May Arts Unique Gift Wrap Blog Hop

Need a quick, easy, elegant and unique way to wrap up jewelry, homemade candy or handmade creams, balms or scrubs?

Check out this elegant and super fast wrap up using metal tins.  You can stack as many tins as you want. I chose 3 for a pair of earrings, a bracelet and a necklace.

I just love how this looks.  I grabbed 3 varied sizes of tins from my stash.  As you can see, they're not new.  There are a few dings and I actually roughed them up a bit more with some sandpaper because I wanted a slightly shabby elegance to play off that gorgeous ribbon.

Line the inside of the tin with batting if you're packaging jewelry.  Apply stick on magnet strips to keep the tins together.

Wrap with gorgeous May Arts Satin Ribbon and Silver Snowflakes.  You can add a tag, before tying the bow, if desired.

Want some of this yummy ribbon?  The Ribbon Lady is giving away 2 prize packs of 1 roll of ribbon and a package of Artful Accents to 2 lucky people who leave comments along the hop.

Here's the hop line up in case you missed someone:
